History
So With the increase in student enrollment at the University of Engineering and Technology. So And Lahore in the 1970s, a constituent college of the University names University College of Engineering and Technology creates in 1975 at Sahiwal. Therefore For three years, it served in Sahiwal and in 1978. So It shifts to its permanent place at Taxila. College of Engineering and Technology University, The administrative control of Lahore continued until October 1993, when it received a charter as an independent university under the Takshashila University of Engineering and Technology Ordinance of 1993.
Location
The campus is located on the outskirts of Taxila, 5 km (3.1 mi) from the city. So It is located near the railway station Mohra Shah Wali Shah on the Taxila-Havelian branch line. Therefore the famous Taxila museum is 3 km (1.9 mi) from the complex. So Around the main complex are some remains of the ancient civilization of Taxila. But These include the Jandiyal temple, the town of Sirkap, the Bhir mound, the ruins of the Dharma ajika Stupa, the monastery at Julian, and the monastery at Mohra Murad.
