Karachi University ever year conduct the B.Com part 1 and part 2 annual exams in December while the university issues the date sheet generally in November. In 1951, the University of Karachi (UoK) started functioning as a Federal University but later on after the permission of Sindh government in 1962 it became the University of Karachi for Sindh Province. It is a public research university and considered the oldest seat of higher education. The university has made its place among the top ten universities on the basis of international standards, according to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in 2024.
